Global Engineering Solutions (GES) is responsible for the design and construction of advanced manufacturing facilities and laboratories worldwide. They provide premier engineering solutions in the pharmaceutical industry through technical innovation and project management.
Purpose of the position
This pivotal role reports to the GES Area Director and plays a crucial part in the EMEA GES Project Execution organization, which is currently managing a varied portfolio that spans our API, Biologics, Vaccines, and Animal Health sectors.
Initially, the focus will be on capital projects within the Boxmeer facility; however, there is potential for future involvement in projects across the European region.
Primary responsibilities:

Lead an integrated project team to deliver essential assets on schedule and within budget, ensuring effective business solutions.

Collaborate with stakeholder groups, including Operations, Quality, Safety, and Engineering, to secure strong project sponsorship and governance.

Coordinate with key Service Providers and partners within a recognized panel of companies for detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management, and Commissioning & Qualification, driving successful project delivery.

Oversee budget and schedule development and control processes.

Establish and implement a comprehensive change management and risk management process for all projects.

Manage communication strategies, ensuring effective reporting and the timely distribution of critical information.

This position is based in Boxmeer, Netherlands, with the expectation that candidates may need to travel up to 10% of their time.
Your profile
-
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

At least ten years of relevant experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry, including a significant period dedicated to managing capital and/or operational projects.

Proven success in managing integrated project teams to deliver critical assets on time and within budget constraints.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, being attuned to the business’s needs.

Exceptional decision-making skills, with demonstrated strengths in change management and team alignment.

Strong stakeholder management capabilities, including the ability to understand customer relationships and communicate effectively with senior company stakeholders.
