1. JOB TITLE
Master Scheduler I (grade 15)
2. DEPARTMENT Master Scheduling – Reporting to: Team Leader Master Scheduling
The Abbott Logistics Nutrition Organization has an unwavering ambition to deliver on its promise of superior customer service, in a cost-effective environment. Primary in this ambition is our drive to operate a world-class supply chain, recognized by optimal resource planning and comprehensive problem solving. In the mix of people, processes and systems, it is critical to develop and nurture strong communication networks that ensure transparency between affiliates and planning centers for all supply chain issues.
The Master Scheduling team is an important radar in the Abbott Logistics Nutrition Organization. The team is responsible for planning the production (3,5 billion USD) in the ‘international’ factories of Abbott Nutrition, of which four are based in Europe, one in Singapore, one in India and one in China (the latter two are directly planned in the Asia region). Overall purpose is to ensure that the right product is available at the right time, location at the lowest cost.
The Master Scheduler is responsible for the creation, maintenance and execution of a valid 24-month replenishment plan for the assigned plant(s). Focus within the replenishment plan lies on optimizing inventory levels and identifying well in time potential supply risks and acting upon these risks with mitigating plans. Involving the relevant stakeholders in driving solution. This is done by using Planning tools, where parameters are optimized to support the master schedulers’ objective.
To ensure the correct input variables are taken into account, the Master Scheduler needs to liaise on a regular basis with the assigned plants, procurement, New Product Introduction and other relevant contacts.
