The primary responsibility of the Market Manager, Supply Chain Traceability Operations is to ensure affiliate compliance with current and developing global serialization and traceability regulations. The Market Manager monitors the global regulatory landscape as it pertains to serialization and traceability. As new regulations are enacted the Market Manager works with the affiliate organization to ensure all impacted functions within AbbVie are aware and can comply with any deadlines imposed by the regulations. The Market Manager is recognized as an expert in serialization standards and regulations. The Market Manager will be expected to engage with industry and standards bodies in the field of traceability.
Responsibilities

- Follow the serialization regulatory developments for the assigned regions and/or countries
- Provide support for affiliates impacted by new regulations. Educate affiliates on serialization and GS1 standards as necessary
- Represent AbbVie in trade associations and standards bodies such as efpia, the EMVO and GS1
- Provide support for our existing traceability operations at regional distribution centers and packaging plants
- Communicate new serialization regulations with impacted departments such as BTS, GLM, MES, Brand and Supply Chain
- Develop requirements documentation to ensure a common understanding of any new regulations
- Lead cross functional projects to ensure AbbVie remains in regulatory compliance
- Aid the team to communicate a common vision to the cross-functional stakeholders and help the teams to ensure that roles, responsibilities, and issues are clearly understood and resulting activities are agreed and coordinated.
- Capable of communicating effectively and widely to all levels of the organization.

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science) or pharmacological discipline (e.g. Pharmacy, Biology)
- 5-8 years of experience in a technical or regulatory compliance role
- Proven experience in managing effective teams and fostering collaboration across organizational boundaries.
- A demonstrated success as a collaborative team player
- Proven excellent presentation, oral, written and communication skills
- Proven ability to handle conflicting priorities to deliver results
- Proven capability to manage, implement and influence large change management programs
- Working knowledge of GS1 standards and experience implementing projects using GS1 standards
- Knowledge of current global serialization regulations
- Possess understanding of core business processes
- Proven ability to interface effectively in worldwide cultural settings. Ability to travel to affiliate locations
- Home based from EU locations
