Regional Communications Manager (Animal Health) | Amsterdam

Are you a communications all-rounder and looking for a new international opportunity within a very passionate, friendly, and energetic team? Then we might have the right challenge for you!

We are looking for a new Regional Communications Manager for our Animal Health business.

In this new role you will support the Animal Health (AH) Business in both internal and external communications, across multiple platforms and formats to drive employee and customer engagement, specifically by generating powerful, creative, and relevant content.

You will play a key role in supporting the business brands communication efforts, promoting, and shaping content in an engaging and compelling way.

You will be working in our new office in Amsterdam while reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Affairs. Please send your application as soon as possible.

 

FURTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to the Corporate Reputation, by collecting and telling the stories from our businesses

  • Write and edit internal and external content for AH and map out an integrated content strategy + calendar that supports and extends initiatives across audiences and channels, both short- and long-term

  • Stay ahead of current industry standards and techniques to ensure effective content that achieves the business goals: Provide counsel on social media and digital interactions, governance for the regional and local communication functions

  • Lead media relations across the MIDI region and ensure local Communication Managers are media trained and prepared to act when issues may arise

  • Set the MIDI AH Communications Strategic Agenda aligned to the MIDI AH Strategic Business agenda and  the Global Comms  Strategic Agenda, and support local execution when necessary. Contribute to ensure that regional and local campaigns and communications programs are in line with the Global Comms Strategic Agenda

  • Support the business in internal employee engagement, related events, and communication (e.g., disease awareness days and activities, Intranet story contributions, drive employee ambassadorships).

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • You are a passionate and creative communications expert with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role

  • You have work experience in the Animal Health / Agriculture sector

  • Previous experience with traditional and social media landscape is required.

  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills in English language. If you speak other languages, we consider it a plus!

  • Energetic, proactive, hands on and striving for innovative approaches

  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain relationships and to influence and persuade others.

  • A clear understanding of how communications can make an impact on business

  • Attention to detail and ability to absorb new information quickly

  • Innovative and growth mindset

  • Openness to continuous (agile) transformation and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Lastly, you have a Bachelor or master’s degree in business management, Communications or similar.
