
(Senior) Operational Excellence Manager

The Role
As operational excellence manager you will drive the execution of operational excellence (OpEx) projects within the Discovery departments of Genmab. You will be responsible for leading OpEx projects aimed at optimizing our line processes, enhancing efficiency, and achieving operational excellence across various functional teams and departments. Within this role you will also coach and support employees in their training and projects. Expertise in process improvement methodologies, change management, project management and leadership are essential for driving continuous improvement and delivering measurable results. This role reports to the director operational excellence.
Responsibilities

In close collaboration with the department head and team leads, execute and monitor identified OpEx projects within the departments, in the spirit of continuous improvement, focusing on step wise incremental change.

Support department heads in their ambition of continuous improvement of their processes and a corresponding culture.

Support and coach employees (incl. line management) in training at any lean / 6 sigma belt level.

Instill a culture of continuous improvement withing Genmab by supporting projects and personal initiatives within the departments.

Support the design and creation of a Genmab specific lean / 6 sigma toolbox and OpEx approach for today and the future.

Together with line management develop project specific and department specific KPI’s and stimulate data driven decision-making. Help in statistical analysis.

Support in the execution of analysis and data gathering across the complete value chain, for example value chain mapping, SIPOC and other process mapping.
Requirements

A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree within for e.g., Business Administration or Organizational Science.

8+ years of (pharma) manufacturing and/or R&D related experience.

3 to 5 years hands on experience in leading the execution of operations excellence / continuous improvement projects with a proven track record of sustainable results.

Strong knowledge of lean / 6 Sigma methodology and tools. Knowledge and/or experience with other process improvement frameworks is a plus. E.g.: A3, process mapping, stakeholder mapping, data gathering and analysis.

Certified as Lean / 6 sigma green belt is a must.

Black belt or PMP certification is a plus.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Proven project team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team-members and line management.

Change management expertise, including experience in driving cultural transformation within departments and overcoming resistance.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrix organization.
