The Role
Genmab is seeking a Senior Research Associate for a newly formed team within the New Antibody Products Research (NAPR) department focused on exploring disease areas beyond oncology. This team leverages Genmab knowledge, antibodies and state-of-the-art antibody technologies for the discovery of transformative products to treat Immune-mediated chronic inflammatory diseases (IMCID).
With your immunological expertise, you will be responsible for the set-up and execution of a broad set of in vitro assays, product screens and proof-of-concept studies to select the best candidates for further pre-clinical development. Importantly, you will participate in shaping and consolidating the new team and building the experimental capabilities required for the development of novel product concepts in this new area of research.
Responsibilities

You will work together with Scientists and other Research Associates in the team to advance the discovery of therapeutic antibody products.

With your up-to-date knowledge of and experience within the field of immunology, you are responsible for the accurate design and execution of experiments in assigned research studies.

You work independently, document and process test results, draw conclusions and report these to the team.

You are able to understand the fundamental concepts behind the assays and will contribute to scouting and setting-up new, innovative assays, in close collaboration with a scientist.
Requirements

You have a completed HLO education or equivalent and have 3-5 years of relevant work experience in academia or industry.

You have professional experience in techniques in the field of immunology and cell biology.

You have experience with cell culture, isolation of primary cell from human blood, flow cytometry and functional cellular assays.

Experience in the field of chronic inflammatory diseases/autoimmunity is an advantage.

Experience with electronic laboratory notebook reporting is an advantage.
