About the role

As EHS Improvement Lead, you'll shape our EHS site strategy. The EHS organization has 20fte reporting into the Director GSE. The organization is split up in 3 teams: Environment/Safety, Biosafety/Industrial Hygiene and EHS Improvement. As QESH manager you will lead the EHS Improvement team having 2 direct reports. Together with two other leads you will form the EHS MT. Overseeing the entire EHS range, you'll make a difference across our sites in Boxmeer and De Bilt. Professionalize and develop our EHS management system into a robust framework, ensuring top safety and environmental practices. Take the lead on complex projects spanning the EHS spectrum, using valuable data to advise our site strategy. Primary responsabilities

  • Drive implementation of company EHS standards at Animal Health location in Boxmeer and satellite facilities through leadership on implementation projects.

  • Monitor EHS processes/systems, plan and execute internal/external audits, and coordinate CAPA process.

  • Provide performance data and seek commitment for improvement from senior site leadership.

  • Build a network of EHS sponsors and support on site(s).

  • Ensure site compliance with company goals, EHS permits and develop improvement plans where needed.

  • Manage professional staff, implement EHS objectives, and drive continuous program improvements.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Science or Chemical Engineering or similar technical discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering).

  • 7-10 years of EHS technical experience, with 3 years of team management preferred.

  • Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple activities/projects simultaneously.

  • Effective communication of complex technical and regulatory information to senior leaders and colleagues.

  • (Certified) Auditor with professional EHS certifications and/or Green Belt and Lean/Six Sigma experience (preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing, EHS regulations, and aligning company goals/strategies.
