About the role

The OHCL will be a part of the Oncology Leadership Team in the Netherlands and will report directly to the Business Unit Director.  The OHCL is responsible for engagement and collaboration with prioritized hospital accounts on optimization of the oncology patient journey. The OHCL will possess a thorough understanding of hospital processes and decision making and will be able to identify potential patient journey gaps and link them to our company's strategic priorities and solutions. By identifying, co-creating, and implementing opportunities within key accounts, the OHCL will develop strategic collaborations that shape the local environment, deliver on customer priorities, and promote our companies’ interests.

This role requires someone who is highly focused and experienced with customer engagement, consultancy, and project management.  Additionally, the successful candidate will be analytical and able to manage a cross-functional team, including but not limited to the Key Account Manager, Medical, Access, and Policy, 3rd Parties, and Regional/International/Global colleagues.  Understanding the health care environment, stakeholders, brand priorities and tailoring collaboration opportunities with current and future strategic priorities accordingly will be imperative.

Main responsibilities

  • Understand hospital processes and decision-making

  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospital accounts and stakeholders involved in the patient journey initially with focus on lung cancer with opportunity to scale to other key tumor areas (in future)

  • Identify potential patient journey gaps and link them to the company's strategic priorities and solutions

  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and impact of solutions implemented

  • Lead optimization & collaboration projects with account stakeholders

  • Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of solutions

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the success of implemented solutions

  • Sets up partnership contracts with health institutions by following good business practices and internal contracting procedures.

Your profile

Must haves:

  • 5+ years of experience in hospital account management, healthcare consultancy or worked in the hospital before

  • Ability to manage a cross-functional team and prioritize and manage multiple tasks

  • Fluent in English & Dutch

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Strong ability to collaborate

  • Knowledge of hospital processes and decision making. Understanding of the healthcare environment and in particular knowledge of the hospital environment, ideally in oncology (required)

  • Ability to identify customer needs and develop solutions that are simple and effective

  • Expertise in project management, particularly around patient journeys
