Job Description

The Position

This position will be remote based in The Netherlands. There are possibilities to work from the local office in Amsterdam or from the manufacturing site in Oss for one or more days a week.

The Corporate Affairs Manager (Associate Director level) will play a pivotal role in representing Organon internally and externally, from society at large to our internal communities. It is a key function that looks across the entire stakeholder landscape ‒ starting with our founders ‒ to craft and implement sustainable long-term strategies around communications, policy, advocacy, media, and ESG in the Netherlands and the Central Northern Europe Cluster.

Responsibilities

Policy Development and Advocacy

  • Monitor and analyze healthcare policy developments, regulations, and legislation in the Netherlands.
  • Identify and anticipate potential policy challenges and opportunities of relevance to our business.
  • Develop and implement strategies to advocate for policies that align with the company's goals and interests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide input on policy implications for product development and market access.

Communications, Sustainability and ESG

  • Development of an integrated internal and external communication strategy for the Netherlands, aligned to that of the CNE cluster, focused on delivery of key business priorities.
  • Management of proactive and reactive communications opportunities and issues as they arise.
  • Localization and management of Organon’s Sustainability and ESG strategy and implementation in the Netherlands.
  • Work closely with the communications team in the Oss site to identify opportunities for potential national media and stakeholder activities, leveraging this important facility to further build our brand reputation.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Communication Science, Political Science, Healthcare Administration or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in policy and/or communications in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of the Dutch healthcare system, policy and media landscape, and regulatory environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Dutch and English. (Knowledge of German and/ or one or more Scandinavian languages would be an asset).
  • Willing to travel occasionally (once or twice a year to locations in the CNE cluster).
