Als onderdeel van de opdracht is de doelstelling om het rhytm wheel opnieuw neer te zetten en om de productie te optimaliseren.
Op dit moment is het productie systeem gebaseerd op het principe van flow lanes. Groepen van producten zijn toegewezen op specifieke lijnen. In de nabije toekomst gaan we het machinepark herzien en dient het SCM principe en het rrhytm wheel opnieuw bepaald te worden. Samen met een toenemende vraag en veranderingen in de markt is de onderzoeksvraag of het flowlane principe nog steeds het beste is voor de productieplanning. De complexiteit ligt in de verscheidenheid van artikelen en het delen van resources met andere productie. Is het zinvol om over te stappen op andere SCM-principes of hoe kunnen in de praktijk het beste plannen en produceren?

- Derde of vierdejaarsstudent technische bedrijfskunde, bedrijfskunde of logistiek
- Bekend met Excel, data analyses, PowerBI en simulaties
- Je wordt enthousiast van het verbeteren van processen
- Je bent op zoek naar een stage waarbij je zelfsturend en pro actief te werk kan gaan
- Vloeiend in Nederlands en Engels (verbaal en non-verbaal)
- Beschikbaar voor 6 maanden (5 dagen per week)

Intern for Thesis in Manufacturing
As an intern you are responsible for Optimizing the Rhythm Wheels of Solids Pack In High-Mix Manufacturing.
Currently the production system is based on the principles of flow lane production. Groups of products are allocated to dedicated resources. In the near future the department will go from 3 assets to 2 assets resulting in a higher capacity. Furthermore, the changes in the market and increasing demand are leading to a higher utilization of the assets. Complexity lies in the variety of articles and various shared resources.
The question is if the flowlanes principle is still the best for the future state of Solids Pack and what would be the best segmentation of products, pack version or volume per resource. Would it make sense to switch to other SCM principles and how would this work in practice?
