About the role

In this role you will formulate and implement reimbursement and HTA strategies to ensure access for patients to Pfizer’s innovations. This implies proactively leading the market access and HTA activities for launch products and of our existing product portfolio for both retail and hospital care. These take place in close collaboration with our internal as well as external stakeholders in healthcare.

You will become part of a large dynamic team which consists of several experienced colleagues on (field)access, HTA, pricing and policy. You will report to the Director Health & Value.

Main responsibilities

  • Defining optimal strategies for pricing and reimbursement dossiers including evidence generation for health economic modelling. Leads the customization of global and or development of local HTA materials and data.
  • Leading, or participating in, cross-functional project teams to obtain or maintain reimbursement and patient access of Pfizer products in the Netherlands.
  • Monitoring and capturing events in the healthcare and access environment that may impact future access towards innovative medicines.
  • Establishing relationships with internal and external stakeholders on reimbursement, pricing and policy. Supporting the Global organization and local business unit colleagues on the development and execution of product plans and reimbursement strategies. Being a partner for external stakeholders who are involved in the market access and reimbursement process. Representing the company externally with regards to market access at meetings with authorities, industry association and other stakeholders.

About you

  • Education:
    • You have a scientific background (Master’s degree in e.g. Health Economics, Epidemiology, Biomedical Sciences). PhD in a relevant area is a pre.
  • Work experience:
    • Preferably 3-5 years work experience in market access and/or health economics. This could be within pharmaceutical companies, consultancy companies, healthcare payer or research.
    • Experience with reimbursement submissions and health outcomes research. P referably, obtained recently the reimbursement of a new innovative product.
  • Knowledge and competencies:
    • Good understanding of Dutch reimbursement policies and landscape. K nowledge of measures used to manage pharmaceutical expenditures in The Netherlands
    • Excellence in (medical) writing and communication skills
    • Effective networking and relationship building skills
    • Ability to think pro-active and creative to solve complex multi-stakeholder problems
    • Great prioritization skills to be able to manage multiple tasks/projects/products
    • Strategic thinker with attention to details but also able to retain a helicopter view
  • Languages:
    • Oral and written fluency in Dutch and English

Depending on demonstrated experience and knowledge candidates can be eligible for a senior position.
