DESCRIPTION:
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you'll ensure the quality and reliability of our supply chain , you'll manage supplier qualification processes, conduct comprehensive audits, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain strong supplier relationships. Your expertise will be essential in developing new suppliers and maintaining supplier quality metrics, managing quality agreements, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
You will implement and lead continuous improvement programs with our suppliers’ senior and executive management to drive measurable and lasting improvements, and contribute to new product introductions. You'll have the opportunity to support team development while working with a global network of professionals dedicated to excellence in quality management.
The SQE role is a data driven position supported by the correct usage of QMS assessment, quality improvement tools, risk assessment, complex project management, and leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Effectively connect with internal departments to: Validate supplier processes during New Project Developments as well as to solve raised supplier quality claims after project launches.

In participation with suppliers, generate Productivity ideas and drive them to completion.

Drive to solution raised Quality issues and actively participate on the solution of Delivery issues.

Strive for and promote Data Driven approach to problem solving, coaching suppliers where applicable.

Maintain and effectively use the Suppliers Scorecard Process to drive performance improvement.

Sustain the Suppliers Audit Program by: Auditing new suppliers and following related Corrective/Preventive Action Plans to completion.

Be involved in projects’ early phases, making sure that supplier’s technology & process capabilities are considered into the Design for Manufacturing (DFM).

Ensure that suppliers understand the project’s Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters. Verify and validate that CTQs are considered in the supplier’s risk assessment and management process (PFMEA, Ctrl. Plan, Work Instructions, etc.)

Complete the qualification of suppliers’ processes by owning the Supplier Process Readiness (SPR) program.

Lead supplier improvement programs acting as mentor for suppliers on improving the Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) rating.

Lead improvement projects to reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)

Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean/Six Sigma approach.
REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree or Master's on a technical field related to Quality, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, and 5+ years of experience in supplier quality management within Automotive, Aerospace, Medical industries or similar.

Proven experience on supervising Key suppliers’ performance and driving improvement with suppliers’ senior management teams.

Demonstrated results on improving suppliers manufacturing processes and understanding Integrated Supply Chain interconnections.

Experienced on managing complex high tech – low volume products and multi-site projects.

Demonstrated understanding and usage of Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving techniques.

Experienced on implementing and improving OEE rating.

Experienced on driving Productivity projects at suppliers.

Proven knowledge on establishing and driving Supplier Development Programs.

Comprehensive knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.)

Proven expertise in quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, 8D, PPAP, APQP, SPC)

Experience with supplier audit programs and CAPA management

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management systems

Ability to travel up to 30-50% to suppliers

Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
-
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
