Marketing Internship

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
We are seeking a Marketing Intern to join our team in Abbott Core Diagnostics. Abbott Core Diagnostics provides a wide range of diagnostic tests and instruments used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics worldwide. These solutions help in the diagnosis and management of various health conditions, including heart diseases, blood disorders, infectious diseases, and cancers. This internship may provide hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing, including designing a value proposition, helping in outlining the marketing strategy and tactics. Promoting our products to the different stakeholders and strengthening our brand reputation as well as our market share in the region. Support the commercial team in business growth. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced team members and gain valuable insights into Core Diagnostics and marketing.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive market research for a specific product portfolio.
- Develop business cases with clear value propositions.
- Execute defined strategies to enhance Abbott’s market position and increase market share.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Assist the commercial team in achieving business growth targets
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of strategies.
- Provide training and support to the commercial team on product knowledge and market insights.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology) or a related discipline.
- Pursuing a master’s degree or advanced degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough market research.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), Dutch and/or French is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools
- Proficiency in Digital Marketing is a plus
- Basic knowledge in health economics is a plus
- Quick learner and adaptable to new tools and processes.
