Market Access Value Proposition Manager

Company Description

Within the Market Access & External Affairs department, you play an important and central role by leading the process of strategy development to implementation. This is with the aim of ensuring that parties take the value of our products into account when making decisions and to bring the value of our products to life. You have a good understanding of the key drivers that influence the decisions of health insurers, budget holders, buyers and policy makers and the environment in which they operate. You build strong, sustainable and strategic relationships with stakeholders with clear insights, materials and plans. You play an active role within the various brand teams and identify opportunities to work with cross-functional colleagues to achieve goals for all Brands.

You will spend approximately 50% of your time in the office and 50% in-field. You will join an experienced, fun team and report to the Head of Market Access.


Job Description

  • Building strong, sustainable and strategic relationships with policy makers, health insurers and budget holders. Identifying areas where there are opportunities and/or a need for new initiatives.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of business goals and strategies across the entire portfolio. Lead the process of strategy development to execution to ensure that the value of our products is taken into account in decision-making and to bring the value of our products to life. Anticipate and develop possible scenarios to optimally interact with stakeholders locally and deploy a customized AbbVie value proposition.
  • Be involved in pricing & reimbursement, developing clear value propositions, including economic and clinical arguments and evidence for government agencies, budget holders, and policy makers to ensure national access to the company’s products.
  • Prioritize and ensure buy-in from Brand Teams and the Management Team.
  • A good understanding of the key drivers that influence the decisions of health insurers, budget holders, buyers and policy makers and the environment in which they operate.
  • Communicating value propositions for new (pipeline) and existing products to budget holders, policy makers and health insurers.
  • Provide clear lines of communication about progress, insights and challenges with the internal team, including senior management.
  • Ensure that product value propositions remain current and evolve to continuously meet stakeholder needs.
  • Play an active role within Brand Teams and identify opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to achieve specific goals.
  • Be the primary point of contact internally for all issues related to health insurers, budget holders and policy makers.

Qualifications

You have a passion for networking and are characterized as a real bridge builder, you have a flexible attitude and enjoy working in a team. You thrive in demanding, challenging and complex environments and are good at working in a matrix environment. You are good at balancing strategic and operational work.

More specifically, we ask the following:

  • Master's degree in business/life science or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
  • Experience with health insurers, Key Account Management or equivalent role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Dutch healthcare system and reimbursement/purchasing processes and decision-making in this regard.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven track record in managing relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to develop value propositions, value communication strategies and value materials and communicate to external and internal (senior) target groups.
  • Ability to independently organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to build strong and sustainable relationships and form alliances with budget holders, policy makers and health insurers.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (oral and written).
  • High level of proficiency in strategy and policy development, account and tactical plans.
  • You are a self-starter and entrepreneurial
  • In this position, you are expected to travel up to 50% within the Netherlands.
  • Hybrid model in Hoofddorp (3 days in the office)
