Total Rewards Lead North Europe

In this exciting new position, you will strategically drive the Total Rewards agenda across the   diverse North Europe region, which consists of 13 countries (listed below). Bringing insight and a holistic approach in the Total Rewards field, you will have the opportunity to shape strategy and steer implementation of the TR proposition across the countries ensuring the region provides cost effective, market led compensation and benefits provision to its diverse employee base. Working closely with the in-country  Benefits Experts, this role provides ongoing Total Rewards expertise, guidance and support to the local HR communities in the country cluster. The TR Lead will also lead on International Mobility policy and application for the whole region.  You will report to the Head of HR North Europe region.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads on compensation topics within the North Europe region – ensuring familiarization and application of Bayer standard relevant TR processes and the local needs, demands and specificities (e.g. Merit). Provides feedback globally on process and application based on local market.
  • Oversees trends & future developments in TR area in the countries of the region, combined with internal data & analytics to develop actionable recommendations/solutions to ensure a competitive TR proposition and position Bayer as an employer of choice across all generations.
  • Design, implement and ensure appropriate governance of country cluster TR policies and alongside Benefits Experts coordinate and harmonise local TR schemes and procedures to ensure a market competitive remuneration package based on business needs.
  • Track industry and HR legislative trends in the countries alongside business needs and feedback ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the TR landscape. Instigate and lead initiatives to adopt policies and standards to changing needs (e.g. EU Pay Transparency).
  • Acts as linking pin and first point of contact between the Global TR organisation and the local HR communities in the country cluster for TR topics.
  • Supports local management in the resolution of TR issues, with interaction with appropriate employee representatives and collaborates with local HR teams (inc. Benefits Experts) as appropriate.
  • Assess TR landscape across country cluster to provide proposals for cost optimization, harmonisation and efficient delivery within the cluster. Work with local teams to implement and adopt.
  • Contribute to (global) TR projects and programs or leads parts of (global) TR projects and programs.
  • Support M&A processes and steers harmonization of TR plans & procedures.

Mobility

  • Acts as lead for Mobility topics for the countries within the North Europe region.
  • Translates the global mobility framework, policies and processes on a country and cluster level in an efficient and harmonised manner with the HR Foundations community.
  • Supports the Country Profiles within the region (incl.budgets, transportation, security, etc.)
  • Responsible for compliance of the topic and support (tax, social security, immigration, labor law, statutory requirements).
  • Alongside People Partners, resolves ad-hoc complex  mobility issues.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Significant experience in Total Rewards management, with a preference for the countries within our region.
  • Fluent in English and ideally one other language across the region.
  • Strong and proven Total Rewards knowledge, labour relations and legal context for TR in the region with understanding of the competitive and future-looking landscape.
  • Familiarity with Total Rewards (TR) schemes, including benefit plans, across the countries within the cluster.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully dealing with ambiguity & complexity to deliver results in projects with cross-functional & multicultural teams.
  • Demonstrating strong collaborative and communication skills and behavior: connecting, co-creating, inspiring, driving and engaging others in a multi-cultural context.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills to build data driven conclusions with strong digital literacy & mindset
  • Collaborative team player with a strong analytical and creative mindset, complemented by a pragmatic, hands-on approach.

The Total Rewards Lead needs to demonstrate a 'T-Shaped Profile', meaning a broad knowledge and experience in TR and industry (breadth), while having a deep knowledge on one or more areas of speciality (depth).

Location:

location depends on where the candidate lives but will need to be in one of the countries in the Northern Europe region : Belgium, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Ireland, Denmark , Finland, Sweden, Norway or the Baltics .

Some travel may be required to the countries within the region and to our HQ in Germany on an ad hoc basis.
