Contract Analyst
Job description
Objective
A Contract Analyst ensures consistent management of all budget updates and drafting of contracts. The Contract Associate has a positive and focused attitude and can apply excellent communication and organizational skills to the contracting process. Have knowledge of all contractual related matters and may act as the primary interface for internal / external stakeholders.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Overall responsibility, as listed below, including coordination with Business Development, Project Management, Operations, Legal, and Finance to prepare, review and negotiate budgets/contracts.

Creates, negotiates, and finalizes budgets and contractual documents, including Start-up Agreements, Task Orders, Change Orders etc., per guidance provided by a Contract Manager, and in conjunction with relevant departments.

Provides budget updates/amends budgets as required all stakeholders ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Analyzes the customer’s needs and translates the service requirements into budget updates for Task Orders/Change Orders.

Serve as the primary contact during the negotiation phase, per guidance provided by a Contract Manager.

Provides quality deliverables adhering to strict deadlines.

Follow up on the contracting process and ensure that all is in accordance with company policies, legal & regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.

Ongoing proactive involvement with project management in review of project status, including review of contractual status to ensure compliance with contractual terms, milestones, and identification of changes to contracts.

Ensure timely and accurate completion of relevant databases (Salesforce etc.) - Participate in customer meetings as necessary.
Job requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biomedical, Bio-engineer, etc.)/Life Sciences is preferred
Experience
-
> 1 years’ experience in one of the following environments: contract management, clinical contracting, finance, legal (paralegal)
Required Competences
Hard Skills

Ability to manage multiple budgets/contracts of varying types and size through the contract administration process

Confident to deal with all internal / external Customer levels (with guidance where necessary)

Comprehensive knowledge of relevant software: Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, databases

Experience in the CRO business (preferably central laboratory services) is an asset

Demonstrates excellent numeracy skills and financial understanding

Fluent in English, Dutch is an asset
