Team Lead Capex Procurement (m/f/x)

Are you an accomplished Procurement professional with a first management experience? We are actively seeking highly qualified individuals to take on the pivotal role of Team Lead Capex in our dynamic Pfaffenhofen production site. Categories under ownership include: Construction Services, Facility and Manufacturing Equipment. Role and responsibilities:

Category manager

  • Ensure category strategies are develop and executed in alignment with key stakeholders. Establish measures and controls to track successful implementation. Drive sustainable improvements.

  • Lead and execute RFPs to secure best value for money.

  • Negotiate optimal terms and conditions with suppliers, leveraging market know-how and cost opportunities to achieve economies of scale and synchronization with supply chain operations

  • Monitor and manage relationships with vendors. Ensure contracts are negotiated, established, and executed as per agreement. Resolve performance gaps.

  • Establish contingency plans to prevent potential shortcomings of suppliers or material disruptions

  • Responsible for overall category management, including supplier relationship management, performance monitoring, qualification of Preferred Suppliers, Third Party Due Diligence and risk mitigation.

Strategic partner

  • Actively manage relationships with external and internal stakeholders

  • Partner with cross-functional teams in Pfaffenhofen to understand and fulfill business requirements and objectives, driving maximum value for money.

  • Promote overall procurement achievements through the organization.

  • Contribute to projects to standardize and harmonize Procurement operations.

Team Lead

  • Lead a small team of direct reports.

  • Actively develop team skills and expertise.

  • Promote positive environment within the department.

  • Contribute to Procurement’s success with regards to savings, customer satisfaction, fulfilment of defined KPI´s, risk mitigation and achievement of departmental goals.

Compliance and Procurement Excellence ambassador

  • Conduct all activities in accordance with DSE policies and/or procedures

  • Act as a role model promoting compliance and ensuring that all employees involved in procurement activities are adhering to company policies and/or procedures as well as all relevant external regulations (e.g. LkSG, GxP/ SOX/ Data Protection/ HCP Compliance/ ToV)

  • Minimize use of exceptions.


Professional experience:

Education

  • Master's degree in Procurement or related field/Business Administration.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Procurement. Previous team lead role is a plus.

  • Strong negotiation skills combined with contractual / legal knowledge.

Other skills

  • Result-Driven. Strong execution, reliability, and ability to thrive under pressure.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to partner with the business.

  • Uphold high standards of integrity and intercultural competency.

  • Positive attitude with strong aptitude to create a positive environment

  • Flexible to take on ad-hoc tasks in response to changing priorities

  • Willing to enhance current knowledge through additional Procurement training/qualification; certification is a plus.

  • Fluent in English and German mandatory.
