We are looking for a EU Transport Specialist - Leiden, NL

Scope of the Role

The Transport Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and distribution of pharmaceutical products from our warehouse. This role will involve establishing and maintaining partnerships with transportation providers and ensuring smooth operations of outbound logistics. : The Transport Specialist will also provide support to various stakeholders, including internal teams and external customers, to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Your role

Outbound Logistics:
- Develop and maintain relationships with transport providers, including couriers, freight companies, and other third-party logistics partners.
- Coordinate and schedule transportation services to ensure timely delivery of products to customers and distribution centers.
- Monitor the performance of transportation providers, including on-time delivery, adherence to quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee import/export activities for Cell Therapy, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, CDC, and USDA permits.

Stakeholder Support:
- Collaborate with the internal and external teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and resolve any outbound logistics-related issues promptly.
- Provide support and assistance to external customers regarding order tracking, delivery updates, and any inquiries or concerns related to outbound shipments.
- Act as a liaison between the Warehouse and other internal departments to facilitate effective communication and coordination of outbound activities.

Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline outbound processes, reduce lead times, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Work closely with the Global Transport Team to implement process improvements, automation tools, and technology solutions to optimize

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to outbound operations and report on performance metrics regularly.

Who are you?

Proven experience in warehouse operations, outbound logistics, or similar roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP)
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify process gaps, and propose innovative solutions.
Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and quality in picking, packing, and shipping operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with inventory management software is a plus.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards related to pharmaceutical distribution is advantageous.
