To cover the maternity leave of our Purchaser Roxanne, we offer a challenging temporary position for a service-oriented and enthusiastic Purchaser ( temporary contract: January – June 2025 ), who translates laboratory experience to organizing orders of laboratory supplies so they are available on time and in sufficient stock.

As Purchaser at GenDx, you ensure a smooth organization, performance and monitoring of the entire purchasing process. You are naturally well-organized and know how to combine administrative and commercial qualities. You use this knowledge and experience for the purchasing activities of laboratory consumables and other goods and services. You are responsible for the entire purchasing process: from the purchasing strategy, placing the order, the receipt of goods to the contact with suppliers.

You know how to get the best product for the best price. In this position, responsibility is essential; you find it important that your work is always accurate and in order.

Responsibilities

  • Purchasing and stockpile management of materials
  • Storage of laboratory equipment and materials
  • Administrative assurance of the purchasing process including financial administration
  • Communication and negotiation with suppliers
  • Consultation and keeping in touch with internal stakeholders
  • Working according to ISO 13485 standards

Requirements

  • Degree in molecular biology: Applied Sciences, B.ASc, or academic level, MSc
  • Ability to work independently, set direction and manage commitments
  • Excellent communication, networking and collaboration skills
  • Experience in a similar role is a plus
  • Good computer skills, especially MS Office Excel
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English (written and spoken)
  • You currently live in the proximity of Utrecht Science Park
