Intern, Product Discovery (Project: In Vitro Assay Development – T Cell Engagers)

The Role

Are you fascinated by cancer immunology and curious about how immune cells can be directed to fight cancer more precisely? Do you want to gain hands-on laboratory experience while contributing to innovative antibody research? Then this internship could be a great fit for you.

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to join our PD – Effector Cell Recruitment and Activation team. During this internship, you will support the development of in vitro assays used to study next-generation T cell engagers, with a focus on understanding their activity, safety, and efficacy. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your laboratory skills while learning how early research translates into therapeutic strategies! Responsibilities

  • Support the setup and execution of in vitro assays to evaluate T cell engager activity
  • Perform T-cell-dependent cytotoxicity (TCDC) assays
  • Assist in developing and optimizing assays to assess efficacy and T cell activation
  • Support experiments related to enzyme activity and kinetics
  • Analyze experimental data and contribute to team discussions
  • Document experimental procedures and results clearly and accurately

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an HBO or Master’s degree program at a Dutch university in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field, with this internship being a compulsory component of the curriculum and counting towards ECTS credits .
  • Available for a minimum of 6 months (up to 10 months).
  • Basic hands-on experience with cell culture, flow cytometry & in vitro immune assay techniques.
  • Interest in immunology, antibody therapeutics, and laboratory research.
  • Accurate, organized, and motivated to learn in a research environment.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Interest or basic knowledge in antibody or immune cell-based therapies.
  • Experience with cytotoxicity assays (e.g. TCDC, ADCC, ADCP) is a plus.
