The Role
Are you excited about cancer immunology, looking to make a meaningful impact in the field of antibody therapeutics? Do you want to gain exposure to the strategic design of innovative antibody therapeutics? Keep on reading!

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join one of our Expertise Teams within the Translational Research department. Working under the direct supervision of the Expertise Team Lead and a project scientist, you will contribute meaningfully to the development and execution of our preclinical research strategy.

Monoclonal antibodies ( mAbs ) are a major therapeutic modality for many cancer patients, owing to their ability to selectively target tumor-associated antigens. Beyond direct tumor cell binding, mAbs exert immune-mediated effects through their constant Fc regions, which engage immune effector cells and activate the complement system. These Fc-mediated effector functions include antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP), and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC).

Responsibilities

You will apply a range of advanced in vitro techniques including cell culture, flow cytometry, live-cell imaging, and functional cellular assays such as ADCC, ADCP, and CDC to investigate these Fc-driven mechanisms in solid tumor models, with a particular focus on understanding how complement influences the modulation and amplification of Fc effector functions.

  • With the help of your mentor, you will manage the design, planning, and execution of experiments for assigned research studies .

  • Support the research strategy by proposing and designing follow-up experiments informed by emerging data and current literature.

  • Stay curious and open to learning new assays, techniques, and analysis methods while approaching challenges with a solutions-driven mindset.

  • Document, process, and analyze experimental results promptly. Draw meaningful conclusions, contextualize findings, and present insights to the team.
