The Role

We are looking for a collaborative and motivated Research Associate to join the Format Translation team within Antibody Research Technologies (ART). In this role, you will play a key part in the development and characterization of macrophage engagers, supporting our immuno-oncology pipeline.

This is a temporary (1 year), lab-based position where you’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with primary cell systems and immunological safety profiling. You’ll work closely with scientists across ART and Discovery in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and carry out in vitro experiments using primary human macrophages and whole blood to evaluate the activity and safety of macrophage engager formats

  • Perform immune-based assays such as ADCP, cytokine release assays, and flow cytometry to monitor immune activation

  • Maintain and differentiate primary cell cultures (e.g., monocyte-derived macrophages)

  • Accurately analyze, interpret, and document experimental data

  • Collaborate with colleagues across ART and other Discovery teams to support shared project goals

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of innovative assay platforms for macrophage engager testing

  • Participate actively in lab routines and team discussions

Requirements

  • You have a BSc or MSc in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field

  • You have practical experience with primary immune cell cultures, ideally including macrophages

  • You bring 1–3 years of experience in an academic or industry setting (biotech/pharma preferred)

  • You are confident using microscopy (e.g., Incucyte or confocal), flow cytometry, and data analysis tools (e.g., FlowJo, GraphPad Prism)

  • Familiarity with cytokine detection methods (e.g., ELISA, MSD, Luminex) or whole blood assays is a plus

  • You are organized, communicative, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a diverse team

  • You take a proactive and thoughtful approach to your work

About You

  • You are genuinely passionate about our purpose

  • You bring precision and excellence to all that you do

  • You believe in our rooted-in-science approach to problem-solving

  • You are a generous collaborator who can work in teams with a broad spectrum of backgrounds

  • You take pride in enabling the best work of others on the team

  • You can grapple with the unknown and be innovative

  • You have experience working in a fast-growing, dynamic company (or a strong desire to)

  • You work hard and are not afraid to have a little fun while you do so!
