The Role & Department

The Senior Associate, SAP COE will be responsible for managing and maintaining critical master data across the organization. This role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and completeness while supporting business processes and decision-making. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve master data issues, enhance data quality, and implement best practices to ensure the enterprise can leverage domain data assets to full capacity.

This position is based in Copenhagen or Utrecht and follows a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Monitor data usage to assist teams, share best practice trends in data use, and provide insights into how and where teams can use data for better decision-making.

  • Maintain and manage critical master data sets, including General Ledger (GL), Cost Centers (CC), Internal Orders (IO), Profit Centers (PC), and Business Partners (Vendors, Customers, Intercompany) in the SAP system and other applications.

  • Collaborate with Finance and IT&D teams to identify and resolve master data-related issues.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of master data processes, standards, definitions, and guidelines.

  • Onboard and train new team members on master data processes, tools, and governance principles.

  • Partner with the Business Excellence Team and Data Owners to analyze and optimize data processes.

  • Provide expertise and input for application implementations, upgrades, and new entity rollouts within the master data area.

  • Support cross-functional projects related to master data management and process improvements.

  • Accumulate information to prepare financial statements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in master data management, particularly in SAP MDG or global master data applications.

  • Experience with SAP ERP is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of bank structures and different payment methods.

  • Strong expertise in data accuracy and governance.
