Currently we are looking to recruit our Country Manager for ViiV HC Belgium .

The Country Manager will be responsible for independently leading ViiV HC in Belgium to further accelerate growth. This should be achieved through building on the success of the currently marketed portfolio and successfully launching ViiV HC’s unparalleled pipeline of novel HIV therapies.

The Country Manager ViiV Belgium will be a member of the France-Belgium ViiV HC Hub Leadership Team and a leader of ViiV HC Europe. As the leader of a nimble, agile and entrepreneurial business, the aim is to continuously strive towards excellence in ViiV HC’s interactions and partnerships with Healthcare Professionals, Patients and other key stakeholders influencing the provision of care of HIV in Belgium / Luxemburg.

The position will be based in Belgium.

Your responsibilities:

As ViiV Country Manager Belgium, YOU

  • will be a strong, independent and credible leader of all elements of the ViiV HC Business in Belgium, with full P&L responsibility based on:

    • Maximizing uptake of innovation brands and accelerating the HIV market transformation towards long-acting therapies

    • Optimizing portfolio value of growth brands through appropriate allocation of resources

    • Optimizing lifecycle value of the mature HIV portfolio

  • optimally prepare and deliver launches of ViiV HC’s portfolio. Develop and implement ViiV HC’s strategy and tactics in alignment with all applicable external and internal regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines

  • adopt and adapt ViiV HC’s EU strategy as appropriate to ensure EU alignment and local optimization

  • assume external leadership role representing ViiV HC in Belgium by developing relationships with key external stakeholders including government, payers, External Experts and Patient Advocacy Groups

  • inspire, coach, mentor and motivate the local ViiV HC Team, ensuring a strong cross-functional collaboration and supporting their personal development and the development of the team as a whole

  • manage relationship with GSK as ViiV HC’s main shareholder and service provider

  • ensure full compliance with our values and expectations.

  • Number of positions available: 1

  • People management (direct/indirect reports, etc.): 5-6 DR

  • P&L responsibility: full

  • Business travel requirements: limited

  • Primary location: Wavre (BE)

  • Secondary locations: London (UK), Paris (FR), Amsterdam (NL)

  • Relocation support provided: no

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Masters’ degree in Commercial, Economics, Business Administration or Scientific studies

  • You have at least 8 years of professional experience of which 3 years in an equivalent role as Commercial, Sales & Marketing or Business Unit Lead

  • You demonstrate hands-on leadership capabilities

  • You are able to influence a variety of stakeholders

  • You are a strong team leader who drives performance and develops people

  • Track record in managing complexity

  • Proven experience in driven cross-functional work

  • You speak fluently English and French and / or Dutch (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics it would be a plus:

  • Governmental Affairs or Market Access experience, with a strong business mindset

  • Experience in External Affairs – you understand compliance and ethics codes of the pharma industry

  • Fluency French and Dutch (written and spoken)
