Job Purpose:

Accountable for leading and coaching a team of Oncology Key Account Managers (KAM) to deliver Netherlands commercial strategies in collaboration with cross functional brand team. Responsible for strategic account management of own cluster of hematology accounts. Serves as the primary interface for Oncology portfolio and creates demand by raising their profile with customers.

The role reports directly into the Business Unit Head, Oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the national key account strategy for the hematology brand, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market access requirements.
  • Identify new business opportunities, assess market trends, and steer the team to maximize brand uptake and revenue growth.
  • Maintain a high working knowledge of the hematology in Netherlands, healthcare trends and the local marketplace and customer insights including, but not limited to, integrated healthcare delivery systems, physician organizations and pharmacy networks

Team Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Key Account Managers (KAMs), fostering collaboration, sharing best practices, and driving high performance.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and support to ensure the team meets sales targets and builds strong customer relationships.
  • Be accountable for the development of the skills, capabilities and mindset of the KAM team so that they can succeed personally and professionally, being seen as a partner with our customers because of the credible value they provide.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with high-level stakeholders in hospitals, procurement bodies, and healthcare organizations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, medical, supply chain, regulatory) to ensure unified strategy and operational excellence in account management.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor account and team performance, analyse gaps, and implement corrective actions to achieve business goals.
  • Report on key metrics, market insights, and strategic initiatives to management.

Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years+ Account management experience
  • (Sales) Leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
  • Oncology/hematology experience
  • Experience with launching product(s).
  • Demonstrated commercial foresight, resourcing planning and decision making skilss
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and social capacity
  • Prioritization and problem-solving skills with high sense of responsibility and accountability
