
Financial Accountant for Netherlands and Belgium
Responsible for providing monthly reports (USGAAP) and cost analyses to cost center management. Preparing cost center forecasts and budgets, the annual accounts, and government documents.
Essential tasks

Coordinating tasks related to the management of the financial accounting system.

Assisting during meetings with cost center managers to discuss forecasts and preliminary budgets. Bringing key points regarding forecasts or budgets to the attention of the direct supervisor to request advice on the procedure to follow.

Maintaining the general ledger; • Prepare monthly journal entries for review by others and gather all source documentation related to financial reporting in collaboration with our Global Finance Shared Services center.

Maintain detailed insight into internal client requirements and develop processes that meet or exceed these requirements.

Be familiar with and ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and policies.

Ensure that all financial and accounting records are maintained fully and accurately in preparation for independent audits.

Warehouse-related activities (inventory reconciliations, intercompany inventory, transaction reviews)

Review and validation of project hours for accurate capitalization, cost allocation, and reporting

Coordination with project owners to ensure compliance with accounting and audit requirements

Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
-
3 years of experience in accounting in the Netherlands and ideally Belgium
-
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge of project administration

Knowledge Knowledge of financial modules of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems PeopleSoft, Coupa – Concur – Blackline – PSA

Experienced judgment and strong control discipline

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Technical accounting skills.

Good analytical and mathematical skills.

Ability to identify financial problems and take corrective measures.

Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients.
