We are searching for the best talent for Business Development Manager Woundcare in Orthopedics.
Purpose: As Business Development Manager — Orthopedic Wound Closure, you’ll accelerate adoption of advanced closure solutions in Orthopedics & Spine across the Netherlands by building strategic partnerships, converting surgeons into advocates, and driving market growth for Johnson & Johnson MedTech.
You will be responsible for:

Lead the market expansion of Stratafix™ and Prineo™ within Orthopedic and Spine surgery.

Identify high‑value target accounts and decision-makers, and define clear go‑to‑market strategies per segment.

Own the orthopedic wound closure strategy, from opportunity identification to commercial execution.

Set the benchmark for best practices locally and within EMEA.

Translate global (WW/EMEA) strategy into a compelling local commercial plan.
-
Develop and execute omnichannel campaigns to drive awareness, adoption, and loyalty.

Build strong partnerships with orthopedic societies, KOLs, and clinical champions.
-
Collaborate closely with our orthopedics departments on professional education events, wet labs, and congresses.

Act as a trusted expert for internal stakeholders and external customers.

Bring customer insights back into the organization to continuously improve value propositions and user experience.

Actively gather insights from surgeons, hospitals, and partners to identify unmet needs.

Translate strategy into actionable plans with visible results.
Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (Life Sciences preferred) or equivalent experience
-
≥5 years commercial experience in Medical Devices, preferably hospital-based
-
Proven network and experience within Orthopedics

Fluent in Dutch and English

Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills

Comfortable working cross-functionally in a matrix organization

The anticipated base pay range for this position is €66,100 to €106,605 on an annual basis and includes 8% holiday allowance.
In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
