The Country Director for Baltics leads the IM (Innovative Medicines) organization to drive Customer Interaction Excellence, commercial success, and long-term growth. This role is responsible for business planning, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, compliance, and risk management. It also focuses on talent development, aligning business strategies with future needs, and fostering a strong company culture.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Leads and manages IM organization in Baltics in order to ensure Customer Interaction Excellence and Commercial success, profitable short-, mid- and long-term growth in key market segments, for delivering the agreed country business plan objectives by leadership and development of teams and leaders responsible for therapeutic areas, commercial, HEMAR, Medical and other supporting functions.

  • “Drive the Debate” with all institutional stakeholders to ensure short and long-term access for Innovation, leads activity with local trade associations, patient associations and relationship with key opinion leaders in the country

  • Has legal responsibility for IM business. Manages risk, conducts business activities in compliance with ethical and legal requirements

  • Creating a diverse pipeline of future leaders and ensuring the alignment of current and future talent requirements with the business strategy.

  • Implements the corporate strategy and the business processes as defined by the organization. Develops and implements the local strategy in line with regional framework and guidance.

  • Leads collaboration with HUB, Finance, Supply Chain, HR and all other supporting functions

  • Has responsibility for Credo based company culture, development and motivation of IM organization as a team in alignment with J&J’s Credo values

Key leadership characteristics required for the role as per Leadership Imperatives:

  • Strong track record of success in similar roles, 10+ years of management experience with responsibility for PnL, developing teams and leading by example

  • Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical industry,

  • Mandatory previous commercial experience leading teams, developing leaders,

  • Track record of turnaround and competitive achievements,

  • Thorough HEMAR, market access knowledge and successful reimbursement achievement,

  • TA knowledge and/or several TA knowledge,

  • Professional experience in hematology, oncology, immunology will be considered a strong asset ,

  • Knowledge and experience managing external stakeholders or policy makers preferable,

  • Strategic thinking and business/commercial acumen,

  • Cultural sensitivity & diversity,

  • Experience in change management and crisis management desired,

  • Fluent English knowledge of both spoken and written,

  • Multi industrial experience is an advantage;

  • Team player with good interpersonal skills, ability to influence and interact effectively with internal and external customers

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 86,100 to 149,730 EUR.

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year.
