🚀 About the Role

As the Quality Control Lead , you will be instrumental in ensuring our manufacturing processes comply with the strictest quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will lead a dynamic team of professionals, guiding quality assurance activities and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our operations.

You will report to the Site Quality Lead and collaborate closely with Plant Operations, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs to uphold our commitment to quality and compliance. Your leadership will shape the quality culture, foster teamwork, and influence product excellence at every stage.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Resource Management: Allocate and optimize resources for daily operations, working with Operations, Materials Management, and QA to coordinate testing and product release schedules.

  • Quality Testing & Control: Oversee testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory standards.

  • Disposal & Evaluation: Manage the disposition of work-in-progress (WIP) and questionable raw materials, providing expert advice on inspection and testing procedures.

  • Interplant Collaboration: Maintain proactive communication with peer plants to address quality issues and share best practices.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise Quality Team Leaders, foster teamwork, and promote total associate involvement.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Audits: Support regulatory audits and maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Housekeeping, and safety standards.

  • Procedures & Continuous Improvement: Lead the development, review, and optimization of quality systems, procedures, and specifications.

  • Problem Resolution: Investigate non-conformances, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Validation & Process Improvements: Support validation activities and drive process improvements to elevate quality performance.

  • Reporting & Communication: Analyze plant reports, track trends, and communicate issues or insights to management timely.

🛠️ Who You Are

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or relevant scientific/technical field (preferred)

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience, including:

    • 3-5 years in a regulated environment

    • 1-3 years in supervisory roles

  • Previous experience in the Medical Device industry or healthcare sector is preferred

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles, quality systems, and regulatory standards (QSR, ISO)

  • Excellent project management, technical writing, and communication skills

  • Proven leadership with the ability to motivate and develop teams

  • Proficiency in regulatory compliance strategies and documentation

  • Advanced computer skills and familiarity with quality management software

  • Ability to interpret and apply industry standards, regulations, and product knowledge
