Position Overview:
The Associate Director/Senior Manager of Partnership Infrastructure reports into the Director, Partnership Infrastructure within Global Development Partnerships and will be responsible for implementing and executing processes that ensure consistent value creation, enable robust data insights and overall delivery across Partnerships accountabilities. The focus of this role is to put in place formal governances, standardized processes, transparent metrics, and traceable documentation for the partnerships to succeed. This role also provides related guidance, tools and templates (standards) to internal and supplier clinical teams to aid in improved oversight of suppliers. The Associate Director title may be applied based on the Innovative Medicine R&D Career Ladder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Operations:
o Support implementation and execution of Partnerships infrastructure, processes and frameworks (i.e. governance, RACIs, playbooks, etc.) via collaboration with Partnerships functions and other J&J stakeholders
o Establish and execute core business processes and standards within the partnership framework
o Drive establishment of key data metrics and KPIs for the business to execute against
o Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives (within Partnerships and cross-functionally)
o Plan, draft, and finalize central communications and central stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Data Focus:
o Implement and support availability of data sources to enable Partnerships value delivery and provide Partnerships functions with proactive and ad hoc data and analysis
o Leverage data sources to provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and improved partnership execution
- Documentation, Issue Management & compliance:
o Develop and maintain partnership standards, templates, & playbooks and ensure category specific completion by Partnership Management
o Develop and maintain Partnerships owned training
o Support the creation and execution of an infrastructure for tracking and measuring issues, ensuring transparency into provider responsiveness; oversee the creation and maintenance of an oversight evidence library: metrics, governance, escalations, CAPAs, and inspection/audit findings
o Provide centralized support of quality related activities and deliverables, including the collection, analysis, and reporting of performance, compliance and inspection readiness data, and provider issue/escalation data for all in scope providers; provide central coordination for audit and inspection requests to Partnerships
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business or scientific field
- At least 8 years of relevant industry experience including clinical research and alliance/partnership management in the clinical operations environment.
- Knowledge of process excellence is preferred, demonstrated via PMP certification, Green or Black Belt, FPX certification, or other equivalent Able to show dedication and willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Able to run change positively and sees change as an opportunity to improve processes and tools.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 10% domestic travel and potential international travel may be required for this position.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

- Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
