Material Requirements Planning (MRP) organization is responsible for the availability of materials across the platform, improve existing and develop new processes to balance service level, inventory and cost for raw materials, and guide the platform in the decision-making process around optimal materials planning. Senior Manager MRP LM API drives platform initiatives, ensuring connection with the JSC end to end strategies by close collaboration with the Master Production Planning team and the sites.


Key responsibilities include:

Ensures material availability and inventory health

  • Is accountable for the operational planning based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to ensure that customer requirements and inventory targets are met, while facilitating efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Is accountable for adherence to the inventory targets by aligning the different MPS with the overall product demand and any new product introductions.
  • Develop and complete simulations, reports and presentations to support management decisions on material requirements including inventory projections and identification of inventory management opportunities.
  • Drive balance between service level, inventory and cost across the network.
  • Is accountable for resolving material availability risks within predefined cross functional platforms.
  • Leads root cause analysis and stock-out analysis
  • Is accountable for allocation of raw materials across the network
  • Resolves material availability issues across the whole network
  • Defines inventory de-coupling points and develops replenishment strategies with close collaboration with operations, suppliers and procurement

Leads the MRP team

  • Ensures to develop an organization and is accountable for the further development of the capabilities of the team and individual talent to meet multifaceted business environment.
  • Ensures recruitment and development of successful associates cross platform and sector from diverse functional groups in their career path to develop global leadership.
  • Navigates complex and ambiguous environments, shapes strategies and solutions, and demonstrates resilience to achieve successful outcomes while maintaining big picture perspective in E2E planning processes

Leverages the process maturity in MRP

  • Provide Leadership and vision to further optimize the material requirements planning and transform this into a product based API platform process, and supplier based process.
  • Be accountable of the supplier collaboration and S&OP process from PLAN perspective.
  • Advance the continuous improvement and digital journey of the Material Planning process.
  • Leads and/or supports business process improvement initiatives. Supports change management to facilitate smooth transitions and enhance organizational adaptability. May serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for MRP processes or systems.
  • Metrics: Inventory/DOS, Inventory Health, SLOB, Stock Out Risks, Plan Attainment, Inventory/DOS
  • This function works closely with various partners including MPS Managers, Value Chain Leaders (VCLs), Site Leaders, Procurement, Suppliers, Finance, Quality and Warehousing.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required. An advanced degree is preferred
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant supply chain experience is required
  • Experience in people leadership in a diverse environment is required.
  • Supply chain planning experience is required, preferably in a multi-echelon supply chain
  • Manufacturing, Supply Chain and/or Logistics experience is required
  • Experience working across organizational boundaries in a global environment is required
  • Supply Chain certifications (APICS / IBF) and Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications are desirable
  • SAP experience is required
  • Demonstrated experience with several of the following processes: inventory management and inventory entitlement, supply chain management, supply planning/master production scheduling, scenario analysis, IBP, process excellence (Lean, 6sigma), and systems (SAP R/3, APO, BW, OMP)
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly and tight deadlines exist
  • Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different departments and all levels
  • Utilizes business and financial acumen to influence E2E decisions & key outcomes.
  • Strong communication, analytical and quantitative skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex scenarios to senior leadership with minimal guidance.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft software packages (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • This position may require up to 10% of domestic and international travel
