We are searching for the best talent for the Supply Chain Analyst - Raw Material Buyer position to be based in Leiden, The Netherlands. In this essential role, you'll be responsible for the short-term production planning and inventory control of Mentor products, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. By collaborating closely with various teams, you will make a significant impact on our supply chain processes and help us meet our business objectives!
As a Supply Chain Analyst – Raw Material Buyer, you will:
- Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels for finished devices and raw materials by creating and updating production and purchasing plans.
- Supplier Communication: Engage with suppliers to establish monthly forecasts and inventory plans, ensuring timely delivery of vital materials.
- Production Order Coordination: Translate production planning into work orders, set priorities, and communicate plans clearly with production departments.
- Data Accuracy in JDE: Maintain accurate production data and ensure uniform entry of materials and part numbers in JDE to support our planning processes.
- Continuous Improvement Participation: Contribute to improvement projects and initiatives while actively ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Support Operational Excellence: Track open purchase orders, expedite raw materials when needed, and ensure that operations adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in production planning and ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and suppliers.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on flexibility and accountability in achieving results.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively and adapt to changes while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to aligning with GMP and ensuring that all activities meet industry regulations and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- APICS certification.
- Six Sigma or Lean Green Belt certification.
