We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Learning & Development (L&D) Manager to drive our learning and development culture within the Belgian and Dutch affiliates. This role is pivotal in evaluating, improving, and creating strategies and programs that enhance our employees’ competencies and knowledge base, aligning with our business and transformational goals. As a Learning & Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our customer interactions. The Learning & Development Manager will also be responsible for driving the personal and professional growth of individuals and teams within the organization. This to foster a culture of continuous learning and development, ensuring that all employees have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and deliver a comprehensive learning and development strategy that reflects the evolving needs of the organization and individuals, drives continuous improvement and enhances overall customer interactions.
- Change Management : Act as a catalyst for change by promoting a culture of continuous learning and development and lifelong learning, encouraging the adoption of new methodologies and technologies.
- Collaborative Partnership : Build strong partnerships with local line managers, international L&D managers and HR to ensure alignment and integration of global learning and development strategies.
- Training Coordination and Implementation : Oversee all training initiatives, ensuring they are effectively coordinated and aligned with brand strategies and business objectives. Carries out some of the trainings itself.
- People Development : Ability to inspire, motivate and support line managers, teams and individuals in setting and achieving development goals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Coaching and Mentorship : Provide ongoing coaching and support to the sales force, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Curriculum Adaptation : Regularly review and adjust training curricula to ensure they meet the current and future needs of the organization.
- Needs Analysis : Conduct thorough training needs analyses in collaboration with line managers to tailor training interventions effectively.
- Resource Optimization : Collaborate with regional and global teams to leverage available materials and share best practices, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Budget Management : Manage the training budget, ensuring all actions are traceable and compliant with local and global procedures.
- Travel Requirement : Willingness to travel up to 40% to the Netherlands to support training initiatives and foster collaboration.
Desired Skills & Experience/Qualifications
- Proven experience in L&D and/or Sales Learning & Capabilities, with a strong focus on people development
- Sound knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, selling and coaching models
- High motivation to coach others
- High level of autonomy and self-driver
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to plan and organize
- Ability to assess development needs and measure the impact of learning initiatives
- Support managers in identifying skill gaps and creating personalized development plans for their employees.
- Sound project management skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, French and Dutch
- Ability to think strategically about the roles of the future and adapt training provision for future capabilities
