As a Responsible Sourcing Manager, you will join a dedicated Responsible Sourcing team ready to take over challenges and to contribute actively to our Responsible Sourcing Strategy and Corporate Sustainability strategy. Reporting to the Director of Responsible Sourcing within the Global Procurement Excellence department, you will support the implementation of the E2E Responsible Sourcing strategy to ensure transparency and alignment on the Lonza global sustainability goals, in collaboration with the Procurement team, internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Your Role:
  • Support the roll-out of the vendor due diligence, supplier segmentation and risk management process to identify, address and resolve potential supply chain risks with Lonza’s suppliers globally (for historic and new vendors)
  • Manage global Procurement cross-functional projects
  • Coordinate the engagement with suppliers in order to support Lonza’s responsible sourcing priorities and goals, external industry initiatives etc.
  • Implement and monitor relevant targets, KPI’s and reporting capabilities to track and measure the performance of the program and of our suppliers
  • Coordinate external partners, initiatives and Lonza targets
  • Manage multiple dedicated supplier assessment and onboarding platforms (workflow, reporting, communication, support, etc.)
  • Monitor and research emerging trends, global sustainability dynamics regulatory environment in your region and/ or globally
  • Develop and execute training for Procurement professionals and Suppliers
  • Support and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee completion of ESG reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support workshops with key business functions and incorporate deliverables into the Responsible Sourcing and Corporate Sustainability program
  • Ensure proper communication & training to internal and external stakeholders
  • Other (e.g., integration of responsible sourcing within procurement activities)
Requirements
  • University degree in engineering, /supply chain management /sustainability/ CSR or a business degree/ Master’s strongly preferred.
  • Passion to drive Sustainability topics
  • 5+ years of experience in Sustainability/ CSR programs within procurement, Supplier Communication & Engagement, Reporting
  • Experience in pharma industry is a plus.
  • Proven working experience with SAP, EcoVadis, Integrity Next, industry initiatives
  • Excellent command of MS-Office applications, especially Excel and Power Point
  • Excellent written and oral skills in English and German
  • Hands-on contributor who likes to take up a challenge and deliver tangible results
  • Enthusiastic self-starter, with influencing skills to communicate and persuade internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Understanding of different Procurement disciplines and how they integrate with each other
  • Exposure to sustainability/CSR topics such as human rights, labor standards, environment, conflict minerals, etc.
  • Experience in working in a dynamic environment with ability to prioritize and focus
  • Ability to coordinate activities globally
  • Experience in working with large amount of data and forming insights and actions
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills both written and verbal
  • Experience in working in international, virtual and cross-functional teams
  • Conflict Management
  • Ability to adapt to audience
