We are excited to announce an outstanding opportunity to join Lonza AG as a Senior QA Officer in Geleen, Netherlands. As a global leader in life sciences, we are growing our ambitious manufacturing team to ensure our processes remain flawless and world-class. This role is crucial to our mission of delivering outstanding quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal and external customers on quality topics, serving as the Quality Subject Matter Expert.
  • Review and prepare batch records for Qualified Person's batch disposition within defined timelines.
  • Review and approve major/minor deviations, investigations, CAPAs, and Change Requests within the agreed due dates.
  • Ensure batch records are closed and archived upon completion of all related activities.
  • Attend meetings prepared to discuss quality topics linked to specific projects and identify associated Quality requirements.
  • Complete QA deliverables associated with change controls, deviations, and CAPAs.
  • Review and approve Lonza SOPs, forms, master batch records, checklists, protocols, reports, and test methods within our Document Management System.
  • Manage and track Key Performance Indicator Quality metrics; represent the department at site meetings, including Batch release, Deviation/Change review boards, IPT, JPT, and quality council when needed.
  • Participate in QA on the Floor activities, such as witnessing manufacturing/production support, warehouse, and quality control activities, when required.
  • Mentor and train lower-level QA team members and other departments on basic quality tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar QA role within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong ability to identify, defend, and resolve quality issues with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Capable of working with Subject Matter Experts from different departments.
  • Outstanding customer service skills for internal and external customers.
  • Ability to weigh risks and find efficient, compliant solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with Document Management Systems and relevant quality standards.
  • Able to work in shifts
