Sr. Facility Utility Engineer

Responsible for operation and maintenance of all plant utilities and for delivering sufficient utilities to the GMP manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for utilities (plant steam, Production gasses, soft water, chilled water, PW, VHP, autoclaves, clean steam etc.).

  • Responsible for operation and maintenance of HVAC and building-related installations like cold rooms which involve the Engineering and Qualification of GMP manufacturing sites. This includes the Building Monitoring System and Access Control systems in the facility.

  • Ensure that utilities and maintenance systems, execution and documentation are efficient and defendable during inspection.  Ensures timely response to regulatory issues.  .

  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with all procedures, policies and regulations regarding provided utilities and services.

  • Responsible for pest control

Office and support functions

  • Responsible for maintenance and housekeeping (non GMP) in the offices and support areas (warehouse, meeting rooms, break room).

External contacts

  • Contact person for external service providers performing facility or utility maintenance.

  • Coordinating building maintenance with the Brightlands Chemelot Campus.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key requirements:

  • Significant experience in working in a GMP environment in an Engineering role

  • Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to document all work in a thorough, accurate and timely manner

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work interdepartmentally in an effective manner to carry out daily duties

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
