Your role:

You will be the primary point of contact for generating sales of products at a selection of pharmaceutical accounts in The Netherlands (and Belgium). This includes managing stakeholders with different positions within our customers who have different buying influences and perspectives. Your focus will be on relationship building with and scientific selling to both end users as well as procurement managers by leveraging the value of our technical products and scientific knowledge within the research and development departments of your customers. You must have the ability and self-motivation to identify high priority or high value opportunities and be able to deliver them by demonstrating value to the customer by empowering their scientific breakthroughs and/or operational effectiveness. This coordinating function will be at the interface between customers and internal customer support teams including scientific specialists to help our customers meet their objectives and maximize our new business opportunities. We are looking for an Account Manager with strong internal and external relationship skills, a high interest in scientific selling, very good team spirit and capacity to work with international teams to address customer needs.

Who you are:

  • You obtained a scientific degree in a relevant field (bioengineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, biomedical sciences, biotechnology, etc.)
  • You gained 3+ years of relevant sales experience, within the pharmaceutical R&D  or scientific market.
  • You have strong consultative selling skills and able to work autonomously, collaboratively and as part of a team.
  • You gained good business acumen and you are able to produce and interpret sales data in various formats.
  • You are a strong communicator in both Dutch and English.
  • You are digitally savvy and have experience in working with relevant commercial and social media tools such as Sales Force.com, Redox, LinkedIn, Elevate, etc.
  • Have a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel up to 50-70% in the assigned territory.
