We have an exciting new job opportunity in the south-west of the Netherlands with the head office at our location in Boxmeer, and are looking to hire an Account Manager Companion Animal & Equine for the region Rotterdam, Zeeland and the western part of Brabant.
Welcome in our team
Our Benelux commercial organization is responsible for the sales of our entire, mostly preventive, veterinary portfolio to veterinarians and wholesalers in the region. The department is made up of talented experts working in different fields, such as sales, marketing, market access, digital, commercial management, veterinary science and are divided between two offices in Boxmeer and Brussels. United by a shared passion, they strive to make our medicines, vaccines, services, and solutions accessible to animals and the caring individuals overseeing them. Together, they form the foundation of our leading position in the market. Our Companion Animal & Equine Unit focuses on providing preventive products, solutions, and services to veterinarians who treat and protect companion animals and horses.
Our team consists of 6 Sales Representatives who build and maintain business relationships with targeted customers, ensuring customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty to selected company products to meet sales objectives.
Purpose of the role
The Account Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with our business partners – Companion Animal and Equine Veterinarians and buying groups – with the objective to support and grow the business of our partners and deliver our company's sales objectives. The Account Manager provides expert support (diseases, prevention and treatment) as well as support in other business areas necessary for successful cooperation with respect to compliance.
Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Engages in a long-term professional relationship with customers to be considered a reliable partner in the therapeutic domain.
- Keeps close working relationships with stakeholders in the business area.
- Communicates the right scientific messages consistent with the marketing strategy.
- Analyzes and prioritizes business needs and opportunities in the target customer groups. (companion Animal & Equine practices) and for individual customers.
- Effectively uses CRM and other tools, market research data, as well as own targeting experience to develop territory action and call plans per target customer group and individual customer.
- Timely performs administrative tasks such as encoding call activities and post-meeting notes in the CRM system, expense reports, adverse event reports, etc.
- Provides relevant and timely feedback to management on the local market environment, competitive, and own activities.
- Maintains close collaboration with the manager on strategic and tactical aspects of the product and the therapeutic domain based on expertise and field intelligence.
- Ensures that all activities are in line with compliance and our company's code of
conduct.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years field sales experience within the Animal Health industry.
- Demonstrated motivation and focus on achieving measurable, tangible results.
- Competent use of MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and in IT technology in general.
- Excellent communication skills.
- You speak Dutch and have a medium level of English language (must understand and express yourself verbally and in writing)
- A team player, but also able to work autonomously in the field.
- Ability to travel in the region.
