Job Description

Our Company’s Manufacturing Leadership Development Program Manager is responsible for operationalizing core business processes with the intent of identifying and developing future leaders of the manufacturing division who deliver business results. This includes the sustainment and improvement of the Leadership Development Program to ensure alignment with the strategy, continuous process improvement, networking and best practices across the enterprise. The role will collaborate closely with the Manufacturing Leadership Development Program Director Lead to ensure that program design and rotational assignments align to meet strategic and business critical needs. The program objective is to prepare members for roles of increased responsibilities.


The responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, hiring, and on-boarding entry level North America, EU, and Asia Pacific based employees.

  • People management of Year 1 and Year 2 Manufacturing Leadership Development Program members including relocation administration and all Workday system transactions.

  • Coaching, teaching, and developing program member proficiency within the core competencies to fortify professional and leadership skills, through a partnership with a coaching team that includes mentors and a rotational assignment manager.

  • Coaching program class members to complete objectives and deliver high impact business results.

  • Planning and executing multi-day in-person program meetings that advance the program members’ learning and development plans.

  • Process stewardship including definition, execution, and continuous improvement of core business processes associated with the program.

  • Maintaining program alignment with Enterprise Strategic Framework, learning and development resources and manufacturing strategy.

  • Mentoring program member career development plans.

  • Budget management.

Qualifications

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree preferably in engineering, science, or business and a minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing/operations/technical operations and/or commercial/business in roles of increasing responsibilitiy.

  • Solid and demonstrated commitment to personal and/ or direct report development .

  • M ust possess excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration, negotiation, and project management skills.

  • Has demonstrated strong leadership, managerial, problem solving, and team building abilities and sensitivity to diverse cultures and backgrounds .

  • Proven interest and experience in employee coaching and development.

  • Must posses s the ability to work independently with minimal coaching.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute and improve processes and to drive change.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in multiple areas across pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred – operations, supply chain, quality, technology , etc.

  • Ability to motivate others towards continuous improvement . Functional knowledge of the compnay's Manufactring Division Integrated Toolkit including but not limited to the company's Production System .

  • Working knowledge of recruiting at the new hire / university level.

  • Functional knowledge of our Enterprise and Manufacturing Division strategy.

  • Knowledge of and experience with Next Generation talent including , understanding their needs in the Workplace of the Future.

  • Experience working with a global workforce including understanding of processing international assignments and experience working with Global Mobility and Human Resources.

Manufacturing Strategy, Business Development & Alliances

Manufacturing Strategy, Business Development and Alliances is responsible for the development and realization of the strategy for the Manufacturing division and oversees the core enterprise manufacturing functions. This includes the Strategy and Portfolio Management office, Global Supply Business Development which evaluates acquisitions, divestitures, and licensing opportunities, Manufacturing Business Alliance Management which manages our regional and global manufacturing strategic partnerships, Network Strategy and Third Party Sales which oversees the global manufacturing footprint, global product source changes, and Third Party Contract Manufacturing and the Manufacturing Leadership Development Program, which recruits and accelerates future talent for the division.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$126,500.00 - $199,100.00
