For our team located in Haarlem and Oss, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced new colleague to fill the position of Senior Specialist AtR accountant at our organization.

About the position

As a Senior Specialist you will have a pivotal role in compliance related financial deliverables and you will drive the execution and timely & correctly delivery of the full Management and Statutory Reporting for our entity. Our entity is engaged in production and trading of human pharmaceutical products and is a partner in research activities and in royalty agreements. The Senior Specialist cooperates closely with other members of the Entity Controllers Group, with the Commercial & Manufacturing Controllers team, our Business Service Center (BSC), the Costing team as well as with Treasury and Supply Chain teams.

Primary responsibilities

As a Senior Specialist AtR accountant, you will have a diverse role within the company, providing the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Finance organization and establish valuable partnerships with stakeholders. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for accurate financial reporting of our company BV, usgaap and dutch gaap based.
  • Build and develop network and partnerships with finance accounting teams for our organizations in Haarlem
  • Maintain the strong entity control environment on financial, operational and external business relationships. Continue to meet S404 Requirements.
  • Strong support for our company in interactions with internal and external auditors, including preparation of statutory annual accounts, workpapers and accounting memos.
  • Take leading role in the Entity Controllers Group on overarching accounting topics.
  • Support team members on a mix of activities, varying in complexity and timing.
  • Ready to take the lead in driving automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in our accounting and reporting processes.
  • Assess financial impacts of complex projects to the entity. This may include financial supply chain, system implementation and business deals.
  • Assess impact and oversee implementation of newly issued global accounting or reporting initiatives.
  • Prepare for and present in our Quarterly Financial meeting with the International Controller

Your profile

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing or Finance and at least 5 – 7 years of experience in Accounting or Auditing.
  • Demonstrating understanding of national and regional accounting laws, regulations, and standards and applies them appropriately to ensure the financial integrity of the business and financial statements.
  • Adhering to the highest standards of ethical behavior in all interactions and hold others to the same standards; complying with all laws, policies and regulations; identify and address ethical issues without hesitation.
  • Stakeholder focused, resilient and reliable person.
  • Building trust and credibility by delivering results and following through on commitments.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate teams.
  • Experience with Analytic Data and Prescriptive analytics is a preference.
  • Committed to travel within the country.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
