For the Technical Operations Department at our manufacturing site in Oss (the Netherlands), we are currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer Assembly and Packaging

Welcome to our team

Organon Oss produces, packs and distributes human medicines for several purposes: contraception, fertility, and anesthesia. In addition to tablets and injection fluids also specialty products such as contraceptive rods and rings are made.

Technical operations is a Center of Excellence within Organon Oss. The department consists of various sections (each around 10 employees) that provide technological and technical support to production. The sections are Solids, Steriles, Polymerics and Packaging. Communication with colleagues in the site, in the Organon network and with global and external partners is essential for Technical Operations.

The Manufacturing Engineer Assembly and Packaging reports into the Section Lead Polymerics.

Main responsibilities

  • Conducting, reporting and coordination of investigations and changes, in order to improve existing equipment (highly automated assembly, packaging and extrusion lines) and manufacturing processes;
  • Leading or contributing to root cause investigations, which are the result from deviations in the manufacturing processes.
  • Definition, specification and purchase of new manufacturing equipment. As well as definition, execution and reporting of the qualification of this equipment;
  • Introduction of new products, materials and/or components toward the different production units;
  • Definition, execution and reporting of process and cleaning validations;

Your profile

  • Bachelor degree in mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering, or in another relevant field of study;
  • Several years of relevant experience in a regulated industry or state of the art manufacturing environment. E.g.: pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food, automotive, precision instruments, etcetera;
  • Experience with assembly and packaging technology (must). Experience with and knowledge of robotics, vision systems and measurement and control technologies are considered as a plus;
  • Technical affinity/interest (must);
  • Experienced in writing protocols, equipment qualification, process en cleaning validations in a GMP environment (is a plus);
  • Organized, communicative and positive attitude;
  • Convincing, critical thinking, result oriented, flexible and proactive;
  • English (must) and Dutch language skills (strong plus);
