People Experience Manager - Employee relations

Location: Netherlands - Capelle Ad Ijssel

About the role:

As People Experience Manager – Employee Relations for the Netherlands - you will be a value adding and integrated member of the local People Experience (HR) team, reporting to the People Experience Lead BioPharma for Benelux , closely cooperating with the wider global People Experience organization and the local country organization (+/- 220p) on different projects and initiatives.

Your priority focus will be leading the interactions with the works council in support of the Country Manager, keeping both colleagues’ and business needs and priorities in mind.

For your own business group or for the whole organization, you will also provide in-depth People Experience expertise and be a trustful partner on all relevant PX topics, tasks, and activities in the Netherlands, leading or supporting initiatives as needed, in line with the global PX agenda.

Main responsibilities:

Employee Relations

  • Act as primary PX point of contact for the works council; establish and maintain good, stable and healthy works council relations contributing to a constructive social climate in Pfizer Netherlands.

  • Advise (with support of the PX Lead Benelux as needed) on approaches and strategies; prepare and follow up on all requests (for advice / for approval), participate to regular and ad-hoc works councils meetings.

PX (HR) Manager

  • Coach the leaders in leveraging the key people processes and managerial skills to effectively manage their team

  • Provide PX Client Facing support to your dedicated departments and based on the site / functional needs, lead and/or contribute to local / global PX initiatives or projects that contribute to our culture and support business achievements.

  • Support the execution of annual PX processes and programs (performance, compensation processes, career management), in alignment with global and country practices; identify opportunities for continuous improvement, make recommendations and implement, in partnership with Centers of Excellence’s & Pfizer Colleague Services

  • Manage (or assist Leaders in managing, depending on situation) employees labor law related processes (e.g., disciplinary cases, PIPs, restructuring, court claims, etc.)

  • Support organizational changes and transformations and provide appropriate solutions to the Business, in respect of colleagues and in compliance with the local legislation

  • Ensure high performance and consistent delivery, by building effective working relationships with the hubs and colleagues in our Global Shared Service Centre and the Center of Excellences

  • Responsible for keeping all Dutch People Experience information and policies up to date.

  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation & labor laws.

  • Oversight of Personnel Administrative activities & templates in close cooperation with the supporting hubs.

About you:

  • Master Degree, by preference in HR Management or Business/economics

  • Language Requirements: Dutch and English fluent

  • Min 5 years of professional experience in a human resource function

  • Min 2 years of experience with works councils in NL and a good knowledge of NL labor laws

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and have a strong sense of business ethics including the ability to appropriately handle confidential information.

  • To have an inclusive approach, embracing a wide range of perspectives, enjoying getting things done while bringing energy.

  • Flexibility, highly focused on simplicity, empathy, and ability to interact with different personalities, perspectives, and profiles.

  • Strong communication skills, ability to embrace change, agile approach, and active listening.

  • Ability to work well on your own initiative and have experience of many different parts of the broad PX work.

  • Resilience and capacity to influence in a positive manner.
