Quality Assurance Officer

QPS Nederland B.V. in Groningen is part of a global organization and conducts pharmaceutical research for international pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. For the Quality Assurance department, we are looking for a new colleague for the position of Quality Assurance Officer (QA Officer).

As a QA Officer, you are responsible for conducting internal and external (study, process, and facility) GxP audits, drafting and updating SOPs (work instructions), CAPAs (corrections). You serve as a key link between the department and the organization, collaborating with colleagues from other departments. You act as a sparring partner for quality-related matters and ensure compliance with procedures and standards. You play a crucial role in the development of new medicines.

Additionally, you will:

  • Work with colleagues to maintain the quality system and GxP (mainly GLP, limited GCP and GMP) compliance.

  • Make propositions for improving the GxP quality system.

  • Help enhance processes within QPS.

  • Assist with administrative processes related to quality.

  • Be involved or assist in the implementation of new releases of regulatory guidelines, regulations or directives that apply to activities of QPS.

Job requirements

What do you bring?

  • You have completed a higher vocational education (HBO) for example Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology or similar Life Sciences directions.

  • Candidates with less education, but with sufficient relevant work experience, can be considered suitable.

  • You have 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, clinical research, or in a regulated laboratory.

  • Knowledge of and experience with GxP, preferably GLP.

  • You possess strong communication skills, both written and spoken, in Dutch and English.

  • You have skills to translate the legal framework into practice.

  • You are analytical, flexible, accurate, and structured in your work.

In addition to these tasks, other tasks (undisclosed) can be executed as well by QA Officer.
