The General Medicines Medical is primarily focused on aT1D and Transplant as core innovative areas, while continuing to maintain efforts on improving the day-to-day health of millions of patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

NORTH EUROPE is one of Sanofi's eight Key Markets globally. Key Markets designate a select group of priority geographies that represent major business opportunity and growth potential for the organization. This designation reflects the strategic importance of the NORTH EUROPE region within the broader Sanofi enterprise.

NORTH EUROPE is a Multi Country Organization (MCO) that includes Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands and Belgium.

About the Job

As a member of both the Sanofi North Europe General Medicines Leadership Team and Key Markets Medical Leadership Team, the North EU Medical Head will develop and execute medical strategy and operational plans for innovations in aT1D and Transplant. This position requires aligning global strategy with local business needs while serving as an inspirational leader and catalyst for transformation in the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.

The role demands a forward-thinking pioneer who combines deep scientific expertise with digital fluency, leveraging AI-powered analytics, real-world evidence platforms, and emerging technologies to transform medical insights into breakthrough strategies to accelerate patient impact and redefine healthcare possibilities.

This leader will inspire and empower a high-performing team while fostering a culture of continuous learning, technological curiosity, and adaptive thinking. Building the next-generation capabilities - from AI-assisted medical affairs to digital stakeholder engagement – while maintaining the highest ethical standards and proactive compliance, ensuring that every scientific and technology advancement ultimately serves the purpose of improving people's lives.

Shape the Future of Medical : architect the medical strategy, planning, and resourcing framework to ensure flawless, high-impact launches of transformative therapies in autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes (aT1D) and Transplant — setting a new benchmark for what medical excellence looks like across North Europe.

Orchestrate Best in Class Product Launches : Define and execute bold medical strategies across the full product lifecycle — from pre-launch through post-launch — ensuring transformative therapies reach patients faster, smarter, and with maximum impact. Drive optimal lifecycle management across both innovative and established portfolios.

Champion a Bold GLocal Vision : Craft and own a compelling, future-forward vision for Medical Affairs across North Europe, seamlessly bridging global strategy with local realities. Be the architect of a GLocal model that is agile, patient-centric, and built for the speed of tomorrow's healthcare landscape.

Lead with Strategic Influence : Drive strategic leadership for the Medical across North Europe, co-creating integrated action plans with cross-functional partners that combine scientific rigor, business acumen, and an unwavering focus on patient outcomes.

Build a Thriving Scientific Ecosystem : Cultivate a dynamic, future-ready scientific ecosystem across North Europe — forging powerful alliances with KOLs, external experts, HTA bodies, and health authorities — to cement Sanofi's position as the trusted scientific partner of choice in aT1D and Transplant.

Catalyze Cross-Functional Excellence : Lead the optimization and execution of affiliate medical plans that unlock full product value. About You

Education & Credentials

· Advanced scientific degree: MD, PhD, or PharmD (Medical Degree preferred)

Experience & Expertise

· 10+ years of progressive medical affairs experience with proven impact

· Demonstrated success developing and executing medical strategy across North Europe markets, with substantial experience leading high-performing medical teams

· Established network of key opinion leaders and scientific influencers throughout North Europe

· Track record of cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Commercial, Market Access, Public Affairs, Patient Safety, and Regulatory teams

· Deep understanding of North Europe's evolving healthcare ecosystem and regulatory environment

· Thrives in complex, matrixed global organizations with ability to navigate ambiguity

· Hands-on experience deploying AI, digital tools, and data analytics to transform medical operations

· Strong commercial acumen with ability to connect medical strategy to business outcomes

The salary range for this position is :€140,000.00 - €186,667

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
