Job mission

As (Director) Sales Development Manager you play a key role in ensuring the company’s financial objectives are met in the company’s fiscal year plus securing business that may be delivered in the following 5 years. This will be achieved by:

Proposing and agreeing with the vice president of Marketing & Sales financial targets within your geographic cluster for geographic expansion and market share expansion.

As a key member of Synthon’s Marketing and Sales team, you are responsible within the region for the execution of such plans for your own territory by:

Establishing new out licensing deals within the region for our product portfolio to ensure market expansion and future financial aspirations of the company are met within the 0-5 year plan;

Building, expanding and maintaining relationships with our customers in the region, discussing commercial terms based on in-depth market knowledge, extending and expanding contracts and product forecasting;

You will be responsible for the product life cycle of a given part of the portfolio, and your responsibilities are to build a strategy per product that will optimize sales and margins. You will be responsible for gaining senior management sign of plans and ensuring execution of such plans in your own territories and with assistance of line management ensuring execution by other sales people where relevant. This will require you to work closely with back end functions such as operations as well as commercial to convert such optimization actions into sales as per the agreed strategy and sales forecasts;

Secondary responsibilities are to prospect client for any asset in license opportunities and escalate for review by the portfolio team, as well as give market intelligence on customer strategy, ownership, and pipeline direction so Synthon may use this information in its own strategic reviews from time to time.

Russia, Moscow

Travel

Travelling is expected to ensure objectives are met, within the nominated regions for development, and to key client headquarters as well as trade fairs and other such events to help prospect and market the company.

Your profile

Your CV should show that you have:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in either Marketing or Life Sciences field of study
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a commercial position in the (generic) pharmaceutical industry or related industry with a proven track record in market or client expansion
  • Extensive existing network of relationships in the region
  • You should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of forecast and price impact on the P&L account and have built targets and objectives in line with company strategies and overarching annual goals.
  • You should have a good general understanding of Operations & Regulatory Affairs, and can demonstrate product improvement by collaboration with internal stakeholders that met commercial needs
  • The will to develop your professional skills and grow to the next level.

Languages

Good command of the English and Russian language, both excellent verbal and written communication skills

You are solution focused, take initiative, are able to convince other on the basis of sound arguments. You can demonstrate good team and interpersonal communications.
