The opportunity

Join our dynamic team at Teva as a Tax Director, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping our tax position for the Dutch cluster. This opportunity offers a unique blend of technical tax analysis, risk management, and strategic advisory, working closely with various departments and building strong relationships with tax authorities. This position will allow you to make a significant impact on our business operations and ensure compliance.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Responsible for tax position of Dutch cluster of Teva companies with respect to direct taxes
  • Perform in depth Dutch tax technical analysis
  • Manage tax risks of external and internal financing structure in the Netherlands and all relevant jurisdictions
  • Identify and implement international tax optimization (structure, financing & IP) projects and M&A projects
  • Manage exposure to tax risks in the Netherlands and all relevant tax jurisdictions, including managing tax audits in the Netherlands
  • Build relationships with relevant tax authorities in the Netherlands, including regular contact and meetings with tax authorities and manage relationships with external tax advisors/auditors
  • Provide strategic tax advice and guidance to internal partners on potential business transactions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts, including Heads of Finance, Legal, IT, Procurement or operations to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions
  • Ensure strong coordination with Tax Compliance and Reporting teams as well as compliance with local Transfer Pricing requirements, in coordination with our Transfer Pricing Team
  • Supporting HR with Dutch wage tax queries

Your experience and qualifications

The individual will have to be versatile, with a 360 strategic view while being hands-on with a track record working in international organizations and Big 4 tax departments. A relevant degree, like Tax or Finance is expected. The candidate should possess a proven ability to cultivate robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and have the confidence to provide guidance and education to the business.

  • Extensive experience (minimum of 10 years) in global tax planning, with a focus on multinational corporations
  • Strong knowledge in Dutch tax law and international tax developments
  • Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to coach and mentor teams
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing tax strategies that align with business goals and minimize tax exposures and tax liabilities
  • Strong expertise in direct taxes
  • Good understanding of Dutch & US GAAP
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and an ability to communicate with and convince senior leaders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Fluency in English
