Materials & Structural Analysis Division, Material Science Business Unit

This position part of our Material and Structural Analysis Division (MSD). MSD supplies innovative solutions for microscopy and microanalysis. Using scanning and transmission electron microscopes and DualBeam™ FIB-SEMs, combined with sophisticated software suites, our customers can combine high-resolution imaging with physical, elemental, chemical, and electrical analysis to go from questions to usable data. Our solutions enable customers to push the boundaries of productivity and innovation. Materials and Structural Analysis impacts everyday life - medicines and vaccines, transportation, clean energy, devices, food, bridges, technology, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting: Support the BU Finance team in preparing quarterly forecasts for product revenue and gross margin and assist in business reviews (MBR/QBR).
  • Closing Activities: Collaborate on monthly closing activities to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Variance Analysis: Review monthly revenue and spending details to identify key factors driving variances to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Forecast.
  • Process Improvement: Identify, develop, and implement improvements to existing reporting processes using the PPI business system.
  • Automation : Streamline routine analysis and see opportunities to automate and build leverage.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Education: Full-time student completing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or a similar field.
  • GPA: Preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • Career Motivation: Strong desire and motivation to develop a career as a future leader in the finance function.
  • Skills: Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience: Related work or internship experience is a plus.
  • Attributes : Proactive with drive, responsibility, and dedication.
  • Flexibility: Hybrid role, with at least 1 day per week onsite.
