Job Description

At our site in Eindhoven we develop and produce our high end Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM). It takes a year to get these systems build and tested before we can ship them to our customers. Most of these microscopes are customer specific. On top of that, innovations take place in a fast pace which makes our process complicated and challenging!

As an intern, you will have a chance to contribute in optimizing the supply chain operations and assist in continuous improvement opportunities (PPI). Your assignment might include analyzing and/or designing supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce operational and inventory costs, and enhance overall performance. Your expertise might contribute to effective inventory management, demand and supplier forecasting, production planning and material availability optimization.

What will you do?

  • There are various ambitious assignments possible, which will be discussed with the candidate (f.e. visualize end to end logistic processes and define opportunities to improve overall supply chain performance, how to plan for more flex in build plan, how to manage MRP volatility towards suppliers, how to deal with configuration changes, Barcoding project etc)
  • Collaborate with various Logistics subject areas
  • Depending on the assignment and time available: proposing solutions and taking care of implementation. .

How you will get here:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Preferably experience in supply chain management or logistics in a high-Tech environment
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to work well with diverse teams and team leaders
  • Problem-solving skills: analyzing problems, finding root-cause and come to effective solutions

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Have a pragmatic, proactive approach
  • Having strong analytical skills
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal and in writing)
  • Process-minded
