We are currently seeking an Intern for our Research and Development, Softgel Business Unit at Patheon by Thermo Fisher Scientific in Tilburg, The Netherlands. In this role, you will contribute significantly to the development of Softgel dosage technologies. Our Patheon Softgels team holds more than 100 patents for their innovative drug delivery technologies. Alongside educational requirements, we also consider applicants with equivalent experience. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical knowledge in product development, ranging from lab scale to commercial scale, including the development and validation of associated analytical methods.

What will you do?

• Join our formulation, process technology, and analytical development teams as an intern, and contribute to the growth of the softgel product platform.
• Document all development activities and experiments comprehensively to ensure reproducibility and process transfer.
• Enhance your collaboration and commmunication by effectively reporting project progress to colleagues, customers, and leaders.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmaceutical sciences and apply them to advance your knowledge and skills.
• Adhere to strict operating procedures to meet GMP, corporate, legal, and EHS requirements for successful project implementation.
• Maintain a clean working environment, seek operational efficiencies, and explore opportunities to minimize our environmental impact.
• Gain exposure to both manufacturing and laboratory operations, broadening your understanding of our business operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals currently studying for a degree or with equivalent experience in fields related to pharmaceutical chemistry and life sciences. Whether you are at the MBO, HBO, Bachelor's, or Master's level of education, we encourage you to apply. A proven interest in chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences, coupled with a passion for lab-based work, is important. As an ideal candidate, you should be a great teammate with strong communication skills and a drive to deliver results within tight schedules.
