Located in Bleiswijk, Netherlands, our manufacturing division is dedicated to delivering outstanding solutions and maintaining exceptional service levels for all clients.

Become a Material Handler 2 at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. and contribute to our successful implementation of crucial projects while maintaining flawless standards in manufacturing.

A day in the Life:

  • Follow Production Orders to complete client packaging requirements.
  • Complete client-specific kitting projects based on Kitting Plans/Kit Maps.
  • Support 7-day operations through rotational shift work, ensuring comprehensive daily coverage.
  • Pull accurate requirements and materials from in-house software systems.
  • Pick and pack orders to ensure right-first-time delivery.

Keys to Success:

  • Strictly adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies, delivering GxP standards.
  • Support the culture of continuous improvement through the Thermo Fisher Lean process.

Education

  • MBO or HBO (administrative and/or logistics background) either by education or relevant work experience.

Experience

  • Experience working with biological and/or pharmaceutical samples.
  • Experience in clinical packaging.
  • Experience in a GMP (GxP) environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • IT literate, preferably with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to read and interpret general procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and volume.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Frequently required to type, sit, stand, walk, and lift/carry up to 25kg. Occasionally required to push/roll 280kg liquid nitrogen dewars and 4-500kg freezers. The repository environment includes working with dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, hazardous and infectious agents, and marked changes in temperature.
